Our Valentine Tradition

For the past several years a few weeks before Valentine's Day, I have placed a tray of papers, pens, stickers, ribbons, etc. on the kitchen table so that anytime anybody has the urge to write a little love note to someone in the family, all of the supplies are available.

We all have mailboxes or envelopes sitting outside our bedroom doors and we check them every night to see if we have received any notes.

At first, I thought the kids would make these beautiful Valentines from the lovely scrapbooking papers I made available to them. Then, I learned that beautiful, isn't always what we picture in our minds when we plan something : )

But really, what does it matter as long as you have fun along the way?
