I Heart Faces---Crazy, Silly, Funny Face

This is my first attempt to enter a photo in the "I Heart Faces" weekly contest. The theme this week is Crazy, Silly, Funny Face. It's the first time I really felt that I had a photo that captures the theme of the contest.

Through Sam's eyes

Sometimes, Sam takes better pictures than I do.

Actually, often, Sam takes better pictures than I do.

(If you are someone who doesn't know my family...Sam is 5.)

I LOVE this soft shot he took of Lily...you can actually see Sam in Lily's eyes.

He also took this cute shot of Lucy, an adorable neighbor girl who went blueberry picking with us. He totally captured her!




And I love this creative shot of Lucy's mom Carmen taking a picture of Sam with her I Phone.

An evening walk on the lake

We took a walk after an early dinner this evening along Lake Michigan.

Minutes after we arrived, it began to look a bit ominous...



I wondered how I would keep my camera from getting wet...people dry, electronics don't! But the storm seemed to focus it's energy over the lake.



The kids didn't seem to mind at all. In fact, they didn't even seem to notice the clouds.



We had a hard time getting them back to the car--nothing that a little game of follow the leader won't solve!

Happy 9th Birthday Joey!

We headed to a Kane Couty Cougars game for Joey's 9th Birthday. What a hoot! We had seats right above 1st base.

Joey and his friends had lots of fun trying to catch the foul balls, souvenier balls and other items thrown up into the crowd, but in the end, only the birthday boy was lucky enough to snatch one.

The night was perfect...great seats, lovely weather, good/fun kids and fireworks to boot. Who could ask for more?
